If you are new to The Habit of Enough, this is a good place to start.
This site isn't about fixing your life, organizing everything, or becoming more productive - it's about understanding the habits we build to cope - with clutter, overwhelm and living in a world of more - and practicing kinder and more grounded ways of responding.
What this space is about
Clutter and overwhelm are often treated as personal failures, like lack of discipline, disorganization or poor time management. Most often, this is simply not true.
In this space, we approach clutter and overwhelm by recognizing that habits form through relief, not willpower. We explore how society, roles, and expectations shape our commitments, why “just getting organized” often fails, and how practicing enough can be more sustainable than striving for perfect.
The goal isn't less stuff or better routines. The goal is less pressure.

About The Habit of Enough
The Habit of Enough was inspired by a simple observation: most people aren’t struggling because they lack discipline or motivation — they’re responding to too much.
Too many expectations.
Too many roles.
Too much to manage, with very little taken away.
Over time, this often shows up as clutter and overwhelm.
The Habit of Enough approaches clutter and overwhelm as human responses, not personal failures. Many habits form because they provide relief — from pressure, decision fatigue, or judgment — not because they are ideal or even intentional.
This work focuses on understanding how social roles and expectations shape commitments, why “just getting organized” often doesn’t lead to lasting change, and how practicing enough can be more sustainable than striving for perfection.
The material is informed by clinical experience, professional training, and cognitive-behavioural perspectives. The content is intended for educational and reflective purposes only and is not a substitute for individual psychotherapy, diagnosis, or mental health treatment.
This is not an organization or productivity system. It is a framework for understanding overwhelm and reducing unnecessary pressure.
Enough is not a personality trait. It's a habit.
